GERTRUDE, Hamlet's mother, is sitting at her makeup table preparing her face for her first public appearance as the new queen of the new King CLAUDIUS. As she puts on makeup, her mind takes her back to her life with the dead King Hamlet. In a series of violent flashes, Gertrude relives some of her worst times with her dead husband.
